  2. Excuse me for just popping in unannounced - saw this header in my Inbox and followed the trail. Glad I came. Hope you don't mind.

    Would you have a look-see at what I came up with? ...

  3. The site looks very good. This is a great thing to do, to let words and dreams breathe!
    This is my idea on freedom. Perhaps these lines convey it, but if not then I am happy to answer any questions about the poem/prose.

    FREEDOM
    Rosso Ecco

    Listen to the first cry;
    A victory screech of triumph over the gatekeeper!
    Freedom fuels the maiden breath and gathers force in multiplying cells to convict the child of his birthright.
    Though swaddled and hushed, incubating within, the message resides.
    Though taught and punished it lives defiant, until given voice in an instant defining, the cry resounds once more!
    Freedom beyond the bounds of should do, and despite mustn’t and can’t,
    it’s roots of promise find the cracks and split the cocoon.
    Standing atop splintered slogans, spurning fools gold, the mind awakes to take up the sword.
    Questions scythe through veils to find true flesh and a clear path.
    The free and the wise are not the same.
    Dangerously free. No guarantee. How will the free choose?
    Death or life lie waiting in the wings, ready to pay the player.
    Freedom is forfeit when we think there are no more questions left to ask.
