Paradox

..the "paradox" is only a conflict between reality and your feeling of what reality "ought to be."

The "god" of this world

Hello Fam...

I hesitated putting up pictures on this one because I didn't want to superimpose any concepts I had, nor did I want to limit your own mind regarding this offering.

The "Challenge" is simple - consider the phrase "the god of this world" and define it. What do you think it means? Do you see it in the Judeo Christian "devil" perspective? Do you define it as the thing or things that seem to rule you....your job, your finances, your goals....write about it. Maybe its a system of restraints and controls...maybe its gravity and seasons. You tell me.

You don't even have to endeavor to be poetic. Just write a response. Whatever comes to your mind. Just open up your mind and....write.

End:     Dec 15, '10
Thank you for your interest in our eZine, The Subversive Human. We are a new online journal looking for provocative and exciting poetry, for emerging and established writers.

Please take a look at the current contest tab, the future contests tab and the submission guidelines tab.

December’s Theme:
Bertrand Russell wrote, “Men fear thought as they fear nothing else on earth -- more than ruin -- more even than death.... Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible, thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habit. Thought looks into the pit of hell and is not afraid."

What do you fear? New things? Ideas? Doing things outside of your normal, everyday routines?

December’s theme touches on thought, fear, the everyday normal and/or revolutions. We will begin taking December's submissions, on November 16, 2010 and the deadline is December 15th. Notification of the winner will be announced December 25, 2010.

Visit The Subversive Human, an Online Journal at https://sites.google.com/site/thesubversivehuman/ for additional information. In any case, give it a chance. After-all, it's just a buck...or 4 quarters...or 10 dimes...or 20 nickles...or a 100 pennies to submit!
